How Stress Can Affect Your Memory

Studying for your certification exam can be a stressful experience sometimes. We here at TAPA Institute know how stressful this experience can be; that is why our services not only teach our clients the material in a way that is best for them, we also teach our clients how to manage their stress and anxiety. One of the things stress can affect the most while studying is memory.

Studies have shown that when stress levels are too low or too high, memory can become impaired. Memory functions best, rather, when stress levels are normal. Interestingly, the very brain areas that are responsible for memory are the parts of our brain with the most stress receptors. These stress receptors help us to remember relevant and important details about every day situations. As a result, it is normal and actually very important to our memory to have a certain amount of stress. When these stress levels become too low or too high is when our memory is affected the most.

Understanding stress and how it affects our memory is important to keep in mind when studying for certification exams that can cause varying amounts of stress for everyone. At TAPA Institute we will help you to keep your stress levels normal as you prepare for your exam. To sign up for our services, visit www.tapainstitute.com.
