Are you in need of a stress reliever as you prepare for your CPA exam? If you are, take a break and release some stress before diving back into your studies. It has been proven that studying is a lot harder to do when you are stressed as it can affects your brain’s ability to retain information.  Here are suggested exercises and techniques to help you relax:

1.      Guided imagery

This technique requires that you visualize soothing scenes, places, pictures, or experiences in your mind that generate feelings of peace and enjoyment. If you have trouble bringing up these images on your own, download an app on your phone or look at videos and pictures.

2.      Yoga

Yoga is a form of exercise that combines physical poses, controlled breathing, and meditation. It can reduce stress, lower blood pressure and heart rate. Additionally, yoga has been known to create mental clarity, centers attention and sharpens concentration.

3.      Breath focus
