1. Go outside and soak up some sun!

Now that we are approaching the winter season, it is important to enjoy the sun now before the days get shorter. Exposure to sunlight has been proven to boost serotonin levels and reduce symptoms of anxiety. So, in between studies go outside and just sit for a few moments or take a 10-minute stroll in the sun to clear your mind.

2. Meditate!

Meditation has many benefits, both physically and mentally. Physically, meditation can help reduce your blood pressure and relieve symptoms of anxiety. Mentally, meditation can help you focus your thoughts, help you concentrate, enhance your self-awareness, and overall lift your mood. If you find yourself spiraling, take a few minutes to close your eyes and meditate.

3. Invest in some aromatherapy!

Aromatherapy can help reduce stress and increase relaxation. Scents such as Lavender and Eucalyptus can help you to feel more relaxed and even promote feelings of fatigue to help you sleep better at night.

4. Relax with a cup of tea!

Sometimes there’s nothing like a warm cup of tea to help relieve some stress. There are several kinds of tea that can be very soothing, such as peppermint tea, chamomile, lavender, and green tea!

5. Listen to music!

If you find yourself feeling down or anxious, music may be able to help. To boost your mood and help you feel more positive, listen to songs with an upbeat tempo. However, if you are feeling particularly anxious, listen to music with a slower or softer tempo to help yourself unwind.
